The
BACtrack SingleShot is a
single use disposable
breathalyzer. This
breathalyzer review will explain
the concept of disposable breathalyzers as well as taking a look at the
BACtrack SingleShot in detail.
Single use breathalyzers, or disposable breathalyzers, are designed to be compact, easy to use alcohol testers. They are mainly targeted at infrequent users of blood alcohol breathalyzers. Disposable breathalyzers are meant to be thrown in a bag and forgotten about until that rare occasion when you're worried about your blood alcohol level.
Breathalyzer Reviews: BACtrack SingleShot Review
The first thing that strikes you about the Breathkey
blood alcohol
tester is how cheap it is, at only $70, yet it has a fuel cell
sensor! This seems too good to be true, so how good is this breathalyzer?
The Breathkey breathalyzer is one of the smallest blood alcohol testers
around and is designed to be carried on your keyring with your car keys
so its always available to you. We love the size of the Breathkey, its a
major advantage over its competitors. You often don't carry larger breathalyzers
around due to their size, or you have to keep them in your car and risk
having them stolen. With the Breathkey you don't need to think about it,
its always there when you need it, and its size makes it more subtle to
use.

The AlcoMate AccuCell AL9000 is a fuel cell
blood alcohol meter.
Historically fuel cell breathalyzers have only been used by law enforcement
or for professional uses but thankfully the fuel cell manufacturing process
now costs only a fraction of what it did as recently as two years ago. This
means we can now all afford a blood alcohol meter with fuel cell technology.
Fuel cells are far superior to semiconductor sensors, offering both greater
sensitivity and accuracy. They are also able to cope with high volume testing
better than semiconductor breathalyzers can. Fuel cells are more specific
for alcohol than semiconductors, which can be fooled by chemically similar
substances such as ketones.
The AlcoMate AL9000 is a stylish, compact and lightweight blood alcohol
meter making it ideal for personal as well as professional use.

I was looking forward to writing the
iBreath alcohol breathalyzer
review because the iBreath is such an interesting little device!
The iBreath is a very small alcohol breathalyzer that plugs into your iPod
or iPhone. It's a good looking device and will just slip into your pocket
along with your iPhone or iPod and so is very portable. Ideal for a night
out. The device runs off your iPhone or iPod batteries. The iBreath is available
for around $80.
The iBreath alcohol breathalyzer also doubles up as an FM transmitter which
allows you to listen to your iPod or iPhone by tuning a radio to a specific
frequency. A lot of people buy FM transmitters for their iPod or iPhone
so this is a useful additional feature of the iBreath. Another neat feature
is the ability to listen to music or charge your iPod or iPhone without
having to remove the alcohol breathalyzer.

The
AlcoHawk Slim is a cheap
blood alcohol breathalyzer
made by Q3 Innovations. Its accuracy has been reported to be very good,
its very easy to use and since it only costs $80 it must be one of the best
entry level breathalyzers around.
The AlcoHawk Slim has a sleek, compact design. Its a good looking unit and
is small enough to fit in your bag or at a push, in your pocket. The mouthpiece
folds down to make carrying this personal alcohol breathalyzer easy. There
are disposable covers to fit over the mouthpiece to keep everything clean
and sterile, although only three are supplied with the unit. To operate
the breathalyzer you press a button, wait for the digital readout to count
down to zero, then blow into the mouthpiece for 5 seconds. After a short
wait your blood alcohol level is displayed to you.
The AlcoHawk Slim has a number of sensors to help ensure an accurate BAC
reading.

Thanks for visiting Blood Alcohol Breathalyzer, our brand new site dedicated
to breathalyzer reviews.
There are many models of personal blood alcohol breathalyzers on the market.
These portable consumer devices are far cheaper than those used by police
forces. Most retail consumer breath alcohol detectors use semiconductor-based
sensing technology, which is less expensive, less accurate and less reliable
than law enforcement's fuel cell and infrared units. Semiconductor devices
are good at sensing the presence of breath alcohol, but they do not always
provide reliable measurements of blood alcohol content (BAC). Semiconductor
blood alcohol breathalyzers are also more prone to false positives - they
can occasionally signal alcohol even when none is present. Recently, manufacturers
have begun to introduce consumer breath alcohol detectors that use the same
platinum fuel cell technology as used by law enforcement. These are capable
of delivering highly accurate measurements. Fuel cell breathalyzers are
considerably more expensive than semiconductor models.
All blood alcohol breathalyzers sold in the U.S. must be certified by the
Food and Drug Administration.
